How does Movers To Trust share my personal information?
Movers To Trust only shares contact details (name, email, phone, and move specifications) with **licensed carriers you explicitly select** or route quotes to. We never sell lead data to unvetted third-party marketing brokers or independent visual estimators.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when requesting quotes or claiming carrier listings, including:
- Name, email address, phone number, and physical addresses (origin & destination).
- Estimated household weight inventory list and planned relocation dates.
- Company name, registry numbers, and identity verification credentials for carrier owners.
2. How We Secure Data
We implement industry-standard secure socket layers (SSL/TLS) for lead encryption during transit to database tables in our Supabase environment. Access keys are restricted utilizing strict database row-level security (RLS).
3. Your Data Choices & Rights
You may request that we export, modify, or permanently delete your contact data, quote history, or carrier profile logs from our database at any time. Submit your request to **privacy@moverstotrust.com** and our team will process the request within 15 business days.
4. Public Commercial Records vs. Personal Data
It is important to distinguish between consumer personal information (which is strictly protected) and commercial carrier data. Information pertaining to a moving company's operations—including business names, USDOT numbers, business addresses, safety ratings, and complaint histories—is considered factual, public commercial record.
This commercial data is sourced directly from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and the official FMCSA Protect Your Move portal. Because this information is already in the public domain and pertains to commercial entities rather than individual consumers in their private capacity, it is not subject to the same deletion requests or privacy protections as consumer personal data. We reserve our First Amendment right to publish these true, public records.
